Ubisoft to discuss Assassin’s Creed future and release Black Flag Resynced update
Ubisoft has announced a content update for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, scheduled for release on October 27, 2026. This final major update introduces a New Game Plus mode, which allows players to restart the adventure while retaining most tools, upgrades, weapons, and materials. The mode supports up to five cycles of increasing difficulty and introduces a new currency, Escudos, for exclusive cosmetic items.
The update also features a Nightmare difficulty setting, which increases enemy damage, reduces stealth detection windows, and limits underwater oxygen. Additional features include new takedown animations, Easter eggs, and new pet skins.
Separately, Ubisoft will host an event on October 29, 2026, where Head of Content Jean Guesdon will discuss the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. While the company stated there will be no major new project reveals, the presentation aims to provide progress updates on existing titles in development, such as Assassin’s Creed Hexe and Assassin’s Creed Invictus.
