Ubisoft to sunset Rainbow Six Mobile in January 2027

Ubisoft has announced that it will sunset Rainbow Six Mobile, its free-to-play tactical shooter, on January 15, 2027. The decision comes less than a year after the game's full global release in February 2026, though the title had been in soft launch since 2023.

The development team stated that the decision was made to redirect resources toward other “long-term strategic projects.” While the game is being discontinued, the next season is scheduled to launch as planned, and the game will remain playable for users until the January shutdown date.

Rainbow Six Mobile, developed by Ubisoft Nova, saw significant engagement with over 10 million downloads on Google Play. The studio has indicated that more information regarding the transition process and potential updates for players will be shared in the coming weeks.
