UBTECH Robotics opens new humanoid robot factory in Liuzhou
UBTECH Robotics has launched a new 14,000-square-meter industrial manufacturing facility in Liuzhou, Guangxi, dedicated to the mass production of humanoid robots. The plant is designed to produce over 10,000 units annually, including the Walker S and Cruzr series, with a target production rate of one robot every ten minutes.
In a significant move toward automation, UBTECH is utilizing its own humanoid and collaborative robots to assist in the manufacturing process, handling tasks such as material transport, palletizing, and assembly. The facility incorporates a digital twin system developed in collaboration with Siemens to simulate production flows and optimize logistics. Each finished robot undergoes a comprehensive four-hour inspection and a 360-degree automated visual scan.
Separately, Xiaomi showcased its CyberOne humanoid robot at IFA 2026 in Berlin. While the robot is currently a technological demonstration platform rather than a commercial product, Xiaomi is testing its capabilities in automotive factories, where it has demonstrated high success rates in specific tasks like nut assembly.
