UBTECH Robotics opens world's first large-scale humanoid robot factory

UBTECH Robotics has launched a smart manufacturing plant in Liuzhou, Guangxi, capable of producing over 10,000 industrial humanoid robots annually. The facility is designed around a ‘robots building robots’ model, where robots serve as both the products and the production tools, handling tasks such as material handling, assembly, and loading.

Developed in collaboration with Siemens Digital Industries Software, the 14,000-square-meter plant utilizes digital factory simulation platforms to minimize errors by replicating virtual environments in the physical factory. The production line focuses on the Walker S series and the Cruzr series of intelligent humanoid robots.

According to UBTECH, the facility can produce one humanoid robot every ten minutes. The company noted that this leap from small-batch prototyping to large-scale intelligent manufacturing was achieved in less than nine months.
