Ubtech Robotics partners with Ras Al Khaimah for humanoid robot testing

Ubtech Robotics has signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Ras Al Khaimah to research and test humanoid robots under extreme climatic conditions. The initiative aims to evaluate the performance of these machines in the heat of the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf region.

Under the agreement, Ubtech will provide robots and specialized engineering teams to support technical and scientific work. Ras Al Khaimah will establish real-world testing environments and the necessary regulatory frameworks. The partnership may lead to a research initiative focused on humanoid robotics and climate. Potential pilot projects include automated industrial assembly, public services, AI-assisted elderly care, and cultural tourism.

Following reports of this agreement, Ubtech's stock rose approximately 7.9 percent in Hong Kong. This growth coincides with a reported 104.2 percent increase in the company's half-year revenue, reaching 1.27 billion RMB. Additionally, the company has secured an exclusive 36-month distribution agreement for several robot models in Japan, pending certification.
