Ras Al Khaimah and UBTECH Robotics partnership

The government of Ras Al Khaimah and UBTECH Robotics have entered into a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance the research, development, and deployment of humanoid robot systems. The collaboration focuses on testing and demonstrating advanced technology across sectors such as industrial automation, commercial services, elderly care, and cultural tourism.

A central element of the agreement is the ‘Ras Al Khaimah Humanoid Robot Climate Research Program,’ which intends to use the emirate’s unique environmental conditions to validate robot performance for use in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region. UBTECH Robotics will deploy engineering teams and products to Ras Al Khaimah to conduct field demonstrations, while the emirate provides a testing sandbox and regulatory framework.

Following the announcement of the agreement, UBTECH’s stock rose approximately 7.9 percent in Hong Kong. This period also saw reported financial growth for the company, including a 104.2 percent increase in half-year revenue to 1.27 billion RMB, and the securing of a 36-month distribution agreement for certain robot models in Japan, pending certification.
