UCR leaders reject intervention of Cutral Co committee

Political leaders from the Unión Cívica Radical (UCR) in Río Negro and northern Neuquén have expressed strong opposition to the intervention of the Cutral Co committee. The intervention was ordered by Juan Peláez, the president of the radical party in Neuquén.

Pedro Amadeo Rivero, president of the UCR in Cipolletti, and Jorge Rivero, vice president of the Las Grutas committee, both issued statements of support for the local Cutral Co leadership. Additionally, representatives from northern Neuquén, Antonio Lice and Kato Benegas, condemned the move as an undemocratic action, criticizing provincial leadership for imposing decisions from a distance.
