Udhampur security forces kill two terrorists in Operation Sohan
Security forces killed two terrorists during a joint operation in the Majalta area of Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, referred to as ‘Operation Sohan’, was launched by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF following reports of suspicious movement in the region.
The deceased terrorists have been identified as Mustafa and Saddam, both of whom were Pakistani nationals reportedly affiliated with the militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed. The encounter began late Wednesday night after security forces cordoned off the remote areas of Bratel Son and Khubban.
Following the engagement, authorities recovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition from the site, including AK rifles, an M4 carbine, a Glock pistol, magazines, and grenades. Security forces have maintained a presence in the area and continue search operations to ensure no other suspects remain in the vicinity.
