Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026 opens in Thailand
The Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026 officially commenced on November 1, 2026, at the Nong Dae wetland area in Udon Thani, Thailand. The event, which runs until March 14, 2027, is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Department of Agriculture, and local provincial authorities.
Under the theme “Diversity of Life: Connecting People, Water and Plants for Sustainable Living,” the expo features 32 international gardens from 17 countries and two international organizations, alongside 16 Thai organizational gardens. The exhibition includes over one million seasonal flowers and plants, as well as more than 50 specialized plant gardens showcasing rare species from around the world.
Government officials expect the 134-day event to attract approximately 3.6 million visitors and stimulate the economy by over 20 billion baht. To support the influx of tourists, the State Railway of Thailand has established a temporary stop, the “Udon Thani Horticultural Expo Stop,” and arranged special express and local train services to facilitate travel directly to the event site.
