UEFA sanctions Serbia with potential spectator ban for Germany match

UEFA has sanctioned the Serbian football association, potentially resulting in a match played behind closed doors during the Nations League fixture against Germany on November 13. The ruling follows racist and discriminatory behavior by Serbian supporters during previous matches against Greece and the Netherlands.

In addition to the spectator ban at the Rajko Mitic Stadium, the Serbian association faces a fine of 50,000 euros. The Serbian federation is reportedly seeking a compromise to allow children and up to 2,000 German fans to attend the match, though no formal agreement with UEFA has been confirmed.

This follows previous disciplinary actions against Serbia, including a ban on selling tickets to away fans during their match in Munich. Germany currently sits third in Group B of the Nations League A, while Serbia remains at the bottom of the group without points.
