UEFA to allocate €2.5 billion to 36 Champions League clubs

UEFA announced that it will distribute almost €2.5 billion to the 36 clubs that qualify for the 2026‑27 Champions League under the new expanded format. The prize pool is divided into three parts: €670 million (27.5 %) as a starting quota, €914 million (37.5 %) for result and progression bonuses, and €853 million (35 %) for the “value pillar”, which combines the market pool and historic ranking. Each club entering the group stage receives €18.62 million – €17.87 million as an advance and €0.75 million as a balance. Match bonuses are €2.1 million for a win and €0.7 million for a draw. Additional payments are made for advancing: €1 million for play‑offs, €11 million for the round of 16, €12.5 million for the quarter‑finals, €15 million for the semi‑finals, €18.5 million for reaching the final and €6.5 million for the champion. Italian clubs Inter, Napoli, Roma and Como are among the beneficiaries. The “value pillar” allocates 73 % of its share to European TV‑rights revenue and 27 % to non‑European markets.
