UEFA to distribute 2.4 billion euros for Champions League

UEFA will distribute approximately 2.4 billion euros (2.8 billion dollars) to clubs participating in the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League. Each of the 36 teams in the league phase will receive a participation bonus slightly exceeding 18 million euros.

Performance-based rewards are structured as follows: 2.1 million euros for a win and 700,000 euros for a draw. Cumulative bonuses are awarded for reaching specific stages, including 11 million euros for the round of 16, 12.5 million euros for the quarter-finals, 15 million euros for the semi-finals, and 18.5 million euros for the final. The eventual champion will also receive an additional 6.5 million euros.

Furthermore, UEFA will distribute 853 million euros through a ‘value pillar’ index, which considers the size of a club's domestic television market and its historical European performance over the last decade. Under this structure, a Champions League winner could potentially earn a total of approximately 110 million euros.

In contrast, clubs relegated to the UEFA Europa League during the playoff round will receive 4.2 million euros. The Europa League has a significantly lower total allocation of 565 million euros.
