UEFA Women's Champions League success brings funds to Liga F
FC Barcelona's victory in the Women's Champions League last May will result in a financial windfall for the Spanish Liga F. Under UEFA solidarity payment regulations, 650,000 euros will be distributed among 13 of the 16 clubs in the Spanish top flight.
Each of these 13 clubs will receive 50,000 euros. The distribution excludes FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atlético de Madrid, as these teams participated in the group stages of the competition. In comparison, France is set to receive 315,000 euros to be split among nine teams in its domestic league.
Separately, Adidas has unveiled the official ball designs for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League and Women's Champions League league phases. The Women's Champions League ball, titled the ‘Ring of Light’, features a design inspired by the eleven stars representing the players on the pitch, symbolizing unity and collective ambition.
