Ufac student denounces gender identity disrespect in university systems
Dahlia Pagu, a psychologist and graduate student in Letters at the Federal University of Acre (Ufac), has publicly denounced recurring instances of disrespect regarding her gender identity within the institution's systems.
Pagu reported that despite having submitted all rectified documentation, including her birth certificate and ID, the university's internal platforms and academic portals continue to display her former name and biological sex. These discrepancies appeared during attempts to issue a new student ID and when accessing the university restaurant system.
This marks the second time the student has faced such issues at the university. In a previous instance, an official email list sent to her master's cohort displayed her corrected name but incorrectly identified her sex as male.
