UFC signs four fighters following Dana White’s Contender Series Week 6

Four fighters secured UFC contracts following the sixth week of Dana White’s Contender Series. UFC CEO Dana White awarded contracts to Mayton Perea, Igor Cavalcanti, Akbar Abdullaev, and Luis Hernandez.

Akbar Abdullaev received significant praise from White, who called him “the greatest talent that’s ever been on this show,” after Abdullaev secured a knockout victory in just 19 seconds. Mayton Perea earned his contract via a TKO against Zevan Hunt, while Igor Cavalcanti defeated Oscar Ravello through a first-round TKO.

While Tyshawn Williams won his matchup against Antônio Monteiro, he did not receive a contract this week; however, White indicated that Williams would be offered another opportunity to compete on the series later this season. This brings the total number of fighters signed from the current Contender Series season to 28.
