UFSCar confirms permanent São José do Rio Preto campus location

The Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) has confirmed that its permanent campus in São José do Rio Preto will be located in the Jardim Yolanda neighborhood. The new facility will occupy a building with a total area of 25,700 square meters, including 11,000 square meters of constructed space, situated near the Assis Chateaubriand Highway.

The investment for the acquisition and adaptation of the building exceeds R$ 52 million. This expansion is expected to boost the local economy, generate jobs, and stimulate technological and innovation sectors in São José do Rio Preto and surrounding areas by providing modern infrastructure for teaching, research, and administration.
