Uganda Airlines expands West African routes as Ethiopian Airlines joins investment summit

Uganda Airlines is expanding its West African network by launching a new route between Entebbe and Accra, Ghana, starting October 27, 2026. The service will include stopovers in Lagos, Nigeria, and is planned to operate four flights per week using a Boeing 737-800 leased from Ethiopian Airlines.

In related aviation news, Ethiopian Airlines has been named the Official Airline Carrier for the Trans Africa Investment Summit, scheduled for November 4-6, 2026, in Kampala, Uganda. Through a memorandum of understanding with Nova Holdings, the airline will offer a 12 per cent discount on Economy and Business Class fares to eligible summit participants to facilitate international travel and connectivity.
