Uherské Hradiště restaurant theft leads to arrest of repeat offender

A 29-year-old repeat offender has been detained following a burglary at a restaurant in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic. The suspect stole a metal cash box containing over 500,000 CZK during the early hours of July.

Police apprehended the man the following day in Olomouc, where they recovered most of the stolen funds. Investigations revealed the suspect is linked to several other thefts in Otrokovice, Olomouc, and Ostrava, including burglaries of a family home and a law office. He faces charges of theft and violation of domestic freedom, with a potential prison sentence of up to five years.
