Czech Republic repeat offender theft arrests
Overview
Recent police activity in the Czech Republic has resulted in the arrest of repeat offenders linked to various theft and burglary incidents.
In Jihlava, a 35-year-old man was taken into custody following a series of crimes, including a theft of a Lego set in August and seven attempted apartment break-ins during June and July. The suspect, who was released from prison in March, has confessed to the crimes.
In a separate case, a 29-year-old repeat offender was detained after a burglary at a restaurant in Uherské Hradiště, where a cash box containing over 500,000 CZK was stolen. Police recovered most of the funds in Olomouc. The investigation has linked the suspect to additional burglaries of a law office and a family home in locations including Otrokovice, Olomouc, and Ostrava.
