UIN Walisongo KKN Students Support Demak Schools' Cleanliness and Dental Health

On 29 July 2026, students from the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program of UIN Walisongo Semarang (MIT batch 22) collaborated with SD Negeri Sidomulyo 3 in Dempet, Demak Regency to ready the school for the district cleanliness competition scheduled for 6 August 2026. The volunteers cleaned the premises, painted the garden and crafted decorations from recycled plastic bottles. School head Masrukan S. Pd. praised the effort, saying the students’ ideas made the environment more attractive.

In a separate activity, the same KKN group visited SD Negeri Baleromo 1, also in Demak, to educate pupils on proper tooth‑brushing techniques, the use of fluoride toothpaste and the importance of regular dental check‑ups. The head of the school highlighted the value of instilling healthy habits early, noting that the session would help children maintain oral health into adulthood.
