UIN Walisongo KKN outreach in Central Java
Entities: Demak Regency · UIN Walisongo Semarang · Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo Semarang · Ahmad Luthfi · SDN Mrisen 02
Overview
In late July 2026, Governor Ahmad Luthfi of Central Java praised the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program of Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Walisongo Semarang for its community‑service work in the village of Sraten, highlighting projects on creative economy, health literacy and social innovation. The same KKN group also delivered an anti‑bullying workshop at a primary school in Demak Regency.
A few days later, the KKN students continued their activities in Demak, helping a local school prepare for a district cleanliness competition by cleaning, painting and creating decorations from recycled materials. They also conducted a dental‑health education session at another school, teaching pupils proper tooth‑brushing techniques and the importance of regular check‑ups. Both snapshots illustrate the program’s ongoing engagement with schools and villages across Central Java.
