Ujazd municipality announces 37 million PLN environmental investment
The municipality of Ujazd is launching its largest environmental project to date, a 37 million PLN investment to modernize its local sewage treatment plant and expand the sewage network. The project, managed by the company Newater under a ‘design and build’ contract, aims to prepare the infrastructure for economic growth and a rising population.
Key components of the three-year project include upgrading mechanical sewage treatment and sludge management, constructing a solar sludge dryer, and implementing odor control through process hermeticization and anti-odor filters. The expansion is necessary to accommodate increased sewage loads, particularly from the local 750-hectare Economic Activity Zone.
In collaboration with Wodociągi Słupsk and the Gdańsk University of Technology, the project will involve creating a ‘digital twin’ of the treatment plant to optimize operations.
