Ujjain to light 30 lakh lamps for Narendra Modi’s birthday

Ujjain is preparing for a massive Deepotsav event along the ghats of the Shipra River to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. As part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ campaign, more than 30 lakh lamps are scheduled to be lit starting at approximately 7 pm.

District Collector Raushan Kumar Singh stated that over 30,000 volunteers will participate in the program, which spans eight sectors including Mahakal Lok and six ghats along the river. The event is expected to feature Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and BJP National President Nitin Nabin.

The celebration will include cultural activities such as devotional music, fusion art performances dedicated to Lord Mahakal, and bhajan jamming sessions. The evening is set to conclude with a grand fireworks display.
