UK and Morocco deepen health and defence cooperation

A delegation from Healthcare UK and the UK Ministry of Health and Social Care visited Morocco to expand bilateral health links. Meetings in Casablanca with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health, OncOrad Group and AstraZeneca Morocco focused on training health professionals, medical research, cancer‑care innovations and public‑private partnerships, building on a protocol signed in June 2025 to widen cooperation in strategic sectors.

In Rabat, Morocco’s Minister Delegate Abdeltif Loudyi and UK Defence Senior Advisor Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren discussed strengthening military cooperation. The talks reviewed the 1993 Framework Agreement, the 2013 Status of Forces Agreement and other arrangements, emphasizing joint exercises, training, defence‑industry collaboration and South‑South initiatives championed by King Mohammed VI.
