UK police make drug arrests and warn against bridge jumping

Police in Tamworth carried out a stop‑and‑search that led to the arrest of a 36‑year‑old man from Birmingham on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin. Subsequent search warrants resulted in further arrests of two men and a woman from Tamworth, all detained on the same drug‑supply allegations.

Warwickshire police have issued an urgent appeal to parents after children were seen jumping from a bridge into a river. A police spokesman warned that “A moment of thrill isn’t worth a lifetime of consequences – please help stop this before it’s too late,” citing risks such as cold‑water shock, strong currents, hidden debris and the potential for drowning, injury or hypothermia. The force urged parents to discuss these dangers with their children and to provide supervised alternatives for staying cool in the heat.
