Łukasz P., husband of Polish celebrity Sylwia Peretti, arrested over alleged €7.5 million EU grant fraud

Łukasz P., the husband of television personality Sylwia Peretti, was detained by Poland’s Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) on suspicion of defrauding more than 7.5 million złoty of EU funding. Prosecutors in Gdańsk have placed him in pre‑trial detention for up to three months and he faces a possible sentence of up to 25 years in prison.

Sylwia Peretti broke her silence on Instagram, saying that some media reports are inaccurate or taken out of context. She confirmed that the couple’s house remains on the market, clarified that a car involved in the dispute was returned a year ago, and noted that a court‑ordered restriction on selling the property is a procedural safeguard that may be lifted later. The investigation continues and other suspects have also been detained.
