Ukraine agrees to avoid targeting Black Sea tankers and oil sites

The United States has announced that Ukraine has agreed to avoid targeting certain tankers and oil infrastructure in the Black Sea. This policy shift follows recent drone attacks that reportedly reduced oil loadings at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal by one-fifth in July.

While the U.S. has not specified if this agreement is temporary or permanent, the move comes as tankers have begun changing their routes in the Black Sea to avoid risks. The long-term impact on global oil prices and maritime shipping routes remains uncertain.
