Ukraine aims to expand strikes on Russia with increased drone production
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine has the capacity to produce between 200 and 300 long-range drones per day. These systems, which include various types of drones, missiles, and rocket drones, possess ranges spanning from 350 to 3,000 kilometers.
Zelenskyy stated during a press conference in Kyiv, following a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, that Ukraine intends to expand its strikes against military and economic targets deep within Russian territory. He emphasized that securing additional foreign funding is essential to scaling these operations.
The announcement comes amid a significant increase in Russian drone warfare. Zelenskyy noted that while Russia utilized approximately 40 Shahed-style drones daily two years ago, current daily usage has risen to around 500, with large-scale waves involving up to 1,000 aircraft.
