Ukraine and NATO launch €10 million counter‑drone grant program

Ukraine’s Brave1 defence‑tech cluster and NATO have opened applications for the UNITE‑Brave NATO programme, the first joint innovation grant between Kyiv and the alliance. The competition offers €10 million in matched grants to develop counter‑drone and air‑defence technologies, with a submission deadline of 3 August.

Teams must pair one Ukrainian company with a partner from a NATO member state and submit a single request through Ukraine’s public e‑procurement platform Prozorro. Grants range from €250,000 to €500,000 per partner, covering six challenge areas: active protection for vehicles against FPV drones, affordable counter‑Shahed systems, electromagnetic support for signals‑intelligence, electromagnetic attacks on drone electronics, high‑altitude surveillance platforms, and autonomous navigation where satellite signals fail.
