Ukraine attacks Russian vessels in Sevastopol and Sochi

Ukrainian forces conducted maritime strikes targeting Russian vessels in the Black Sea region. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a strike was carried out against the BK-16, a fast landing ship stationed in occupied Sevastopol. The vessel is capable of transporting up to 21 personnel and is used for patrol and anti-sabotage tasks.

Simultaneously, the Ukrainian Navy reported an attack on the Nefrit, a supply ship located in Sochi. The Nefrit is used for oil and gas operations, offshore support, and underwater technical work. Ukrainian officials stated the vessel’s activities provide direct support to the Russian war economy. Reports from the scene indicated powerful explosions and smoke near the ship.

In Sochi, residents reported loud explosions in the city center, and authorities requested that people near the port evacuate to safety. The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency also restricted operations at airports in Sochi and Gelendzhik due to the drone threat, leading to numerous flight cancellations and delays.
