Ukraine captures Russian position using only drones and unmanned vehicles
Ukrainian forces have successfully captured a Russian position without the use of infantry, relying exclusively on drones and unmanned ground vehicles (VTSP). President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the operation resulted in Russian troops facing potential surrender without direct confrontation with Ukrainian ground soldiers.
This development highlights a shift toward battlefield robotization, with Ukrainian units conducting over 22,000 missions using unmanned systems in the last three months. Zelensky credited the success to the collective efforts of engineers, researchers, and operators, noting that Ukraine is becoming a military and industrial laboratory for connected warfare. Additionally, the President unveiled new Ukrainian-designed weapons, including the Flamingo missile model, which can operate up to 1,750 kilometers from the border.
