Ukraine conflict: EU approves defense aid amid drone incident and Putin's warnings
Tensions have escalated following reports that a drone near Moldovan territory delayed a flight carrying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The European Commission expressed solidarity with both Moldova and Zelensky regarding the incident.
In response to the ongoing conflict, the European Commission has officially approved an allocation of 6.1 billion euros for drones and missiles intended for Ukraine's air defense. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that any deployment of European troops to Ukraine would be equivalent to a war against Russia.
On the battlefield, Russian attacks on Ukrainian warehouses and ports resulted in at least nine deaths. Conversely, Ukrainian maritime drone attacks on the Russian port of Sochi caused fires and injuries. Additionally, reports suggest Ukraine is facing a shortage of American-made missiles used for F-16 operations.
