Ukraine Deploys Upgraded P1‑SUN Jetkiller Interceptor Drone

Ukrainian defence firm SkyFall has unveiled the P1‑SUN Jetkiller, an upgraded interceptor drone designed to counter Russia's faster jet‑powered Shahed attack drones. The Jetkiller can reach a top speed of 370 km/h, up from 310 km/h on the original P1‑SUN, narrowing the window for detection against Shaheds that can fly up to 500 km/h. In combat trials the Jetkiller destroyed more than a dozen jet‑powered Shaheds, and serial production is slated to begin in August 2026 with a capacity of up to 50,000 units per month. The original P1‑SUN, introduced in November 2025, has already eliminated over 5,500 Russian drones. Russia has equipped roughly 15‑20% of its Shahed fleet with jet engines, prompting accelerated Ukrainian development. Senior Ukrainian Air Force commander Yurii Cherevashenko highlighted the growing threat, while SkyFall emphasized the system’s AI‑based terminal guidance that allows operators to lock on targets with a single click. The new interceptor was first shown publicly at the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom.
