Ukraine destroys rare Russian reconnaissance drone and command center

Ukrainian forces have reported significant strikes against Russian aerial reconnaissance and command capabilities. In the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian FPV drone operators from the Svidky Spasa unit successfully intercepted and destroyed a rare Russian reconnaissance drone identified as the Knyaz Veshchiy Oleg. The drone, valued at approximately $100,000, was neutralized before it could complete its mission or transmit gathered intelligence regarding Ukrainian positions.

In a separate operation, the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force utilized a Sukhoi Su-27 fighter jet to strike a Russian military command center. The strike, carried out using guided bombs, reportedly targeted Russian drone operators. Ukrainian officials stated the attack was intended to disrupt the ability of Russian units to command and coordinate operations, specifically targeting the personnel responsible for battlefield reconnaissance.
