Ukraine drone strikes cripple Wildberries warehouses across Russia

Ukraine has launched a wave of drone attacks on the logistics network of Wildberries, Russia's largest online marketplace. In the past two weeks drones have hit at least twenty warehouses in cities such as Ryazan, Moscow, Tambov, Perm, Udmurtia and Yekaterinburg, killing nine workers and injuring dozens. The strikes are aimed at facilities that Kyiv says transport goods used by the Russian military, including GPS units, radios and body‑armor kits.

The damage is estimated at up to $2.9 billion, and Wildberries has announced a second tranche of financial aid for roughly 100,000 sellers whose inventory was destroyed. The company, founded by billionaire Tatyana Kim, denies supplying the Russian armed forces. Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov says the situation is under control but offers no specific response. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has justified the attacks as part of a broader campaign to weaken Russia's war‑making capacity.
