Ukraine faces energy infrastructure threats and missile shortages

Russia is preparing large-scale attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, citing retaliatory measures for Ukrainian strikes on Russian fuel and energy sectors. This escalation comes amid concerns regarding Ukraine's ability to withstand the upcoming winter due to potential shortages in air defense systems and interceptor missiles.

In response to a critical shortage of Patriot interceptors, Ukrainian military experts suggest a strategic shift toward targeting missile launchers directly on Russian territory. President Volodymyr Zelensky has emphasized the urgent need for more Patriot ammunition to protect the country.

The humanitarian impact of the conflict remains severe. The World Health Organization reports that over 3,200 attacks on healthcare facilities have occurred since the full-scale invasion began, including strikes on medical warehouses that have destroyed essential supplies.

In Poland, public opinion remains divided on military aid. A recent poll by the IBRiS research center indicates that 64.4% of Poles oppose transferring Patriot missiles from Poland's own stockpiles to Ukraine, while 21.6% support the move.
