Ukraine Independence Day commemorated with events in the Netherlands

Various community events are being organized in the Netherlands to commemorate Ukrainian Independence Day and the National Flag Day.

In Zwolle, festivities include a boat trip titled ‘Friendship Ukraine with the Netherlands’, a seminar regarding psychological support and employment opportunities for Ukrainians, and a photo exhibition organized by the Slava i Volya Foundation. The program also features musical performances, a documentary screening in collaboration with the Ukrainian Embassy, a solidarity march to the City Hall, and a borscht tasting event.

In Groningen, the ‘Run for Ukraine’ event will take place at the Stadspark athletics track on August 23. Organized by De Sociale Brigade, the event aims to raise funds for Ukraine through running and walking. The program includes musical performances by artists from Lutsk and local bands, as well as sports clinics in badminton and kickboxing.
