Ukraine peace negotiations underway amid reports of battlefield disinformation
Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration, has announced that complex diplomatic negotiations are currently underway to achieve a lasting peace in Ukraine. Budanov emphasized the necessity for all parties to make decisions based on the actual situation on the battlefield rather than unconfirmed or misleading information.
Budanov specifically refuted claims that the city of Dobropillya has been captured by Russian forces, asserting that the settlement remains under Ukrainian control. He accused Colonel General Andrey Ivanayev, commander of the Russian ‘Center’ military grouping, of intentionally providing false information to the Russian president and pressuring subordinates to achieve a fabricated military triumph.
In Oslo, negotiations are taking place involving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and leaders from Norway and Finland, alongside American envoy Steve Witkoff. Following these consultations, Witkoff is expected to travel to Russia to continue discussions regarding the cessation of the conflict.
