Ukraine develops strategic PR plan to improve image in Poland

The office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is developing a strategic public diplomacy plan to improve Ukraine’s image and reputation in Poland. According to reports, the administration intends to engage an external public relations agency to implement this program.

The strategy focuses on reaching sympathetic segments of Polish society through targeted information campaigns. These campaigns aim to highlight historical alliances, such as the cooperation during the 1920 war, and emphasize current Russian security threats. The plan also includes strengthening institutional ties with Polish businesses, media, and think tanks.

Ukrainian officials, including Vice Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Vereshchuk, advocated for this proactive approach over other options, such as waiting for public tensions to subside or escalating disputes to European Union institutions. Additionally, Ukrainian intelligence services have been tasked with investigating potential Russian financial support for anti-Ukrainian groups within Poland.
