Ukraine proposes Black Sea ceasefire to protect civilian shipping
Ukraine has proposed a mutual ceasefire to Russia regarding attacks on non-military targets in the Black Sea. The proposal, reportedly transmitted via a third party, aims to protect civilian vessels and stabilize global food supplies, which have been threatened by intensified strikes on ports and grain shipments.

In a related development, Ukraine reportedly suspended drone attacks on oil tankers using the Russian port of Novorossiysk. This move follows a request from U.S. Vice President JD Vance, as Washington expressed concerns that such strikes were destabilizing oil markets and impacting American companies.
