Ukraine: Russian airstrikes kill three and injure many civilians
Russian forces launched a wave of large-scale airstrikes against civilian infrastructure and objects in eastern and southern Ukraine. The attacks resulted in at least three deaths and dozens of injuries, including several children.
In Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, shelling hit central areas, injuring nine people, including four children aged three months to six years. In Kherson, a 12-year-old girl was hospitalized with severe injuries following a drone attack on a civilian zone. In Kharkiv Oblast, guided aerial bombs struck Izium, injuring five civilians. Additionally, drone attacks in Mykolaiv Oblast wounded another civilian.
The strikes coincided with a severe energy crisis, with approximately 99,000 subscribers in Chernihiv Oblast losing electricity due to damage to the power grid.
On the battlefield, the situation remains critical. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 142 combat engagements along the contact line in the past 24 hours, with intense fighting concentrated near Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka.
