Allgäu weather shifts as temperatures drop and rain arrives

The Allgäu region is experiencing a significant seasonal transition as summer weather fades. Following a period of sunshine and temperatures reaching 25 degrees Celsius, a weather shift is expected to bring cooler conditions.

According to the German Weather Service (DWD), a change in weather starting October 8 will bring heavy rain, particularly along the Alpine edge. Temperatures are projected to drop significantly, with highs in areas like Kempten, Füssen, and Oberstdorf falling to between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius. Further cooling is anticipated through the weekend, with temperatures potentially reaching 11 degrees Celsius.

Forecasts suggest the snowfall limit may also descend this week, with temperatures in several locations expected to drop to single digits by mid-October.
