Ukraine showcases unmanned military technology in Kyiv parade
Ukraine marked its 35th anniversary of independence with a unique military parade in Kyiv, focusing on the country's rapid evolution into a leader in unmanned warfare technology. Instead of traditional columns of soldiers and tanks, the parade featured nearly 100 unmanned aerial, ground, and sea systems produced domestically.
Key technologies showcased included Rys Pro and TerMIT ground robots, Magura and Sea Baby maritime drones, and various reconnaissance and interceptor UAVs. The demonstration highlighted the integration of these systems across land, sea, and air. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has built a modern defense industry capable of responding to the specific needs of the current conflict.
In addition to unmanned systems, the ceremony included the flight of Lockheed Martin F-16AM and Dassault Mirage 2000-5F fighter jets. The event underscored the strategic shift in Ukrainian military operations, where autonomous systems are increasingly performing tasks once reserved for manned vehicles and personnel.
