Ukraine signs drone agreements with Denmark, Estonia and the Netherlands
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine has concluded three new drone cooperation agreements with Denmark, Estonia and the Netherlands on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara. The deals bring Ukraine’s battlefield‑tested drone expertise, built over more than four years of war with Russia, to partner nations and open “greater opportunities for joint defence production, the exchange of expertise and transparency in weapons exports,” Zelenskyy said. With the new pacts, Kyiv’s total number of drone accords rises to nine. The agreements are part of a broader wave of NATO summit support for Ukraine, which also includes a U.S. licence to produce Patriot air‑defence ammunition and a pledged €70 billion of military assistance for 2026‑2027, but the focus of these announcements is the expansion of Ukraine’s sophisticated unmanned‑air‑system industry to European allies.
The three countries will cooperate on joint production, technology transfer and export of Ukrainian‑developed drone systems, reinforcing NATO’s collective air‑defence capabilities and deepening the defense‑industrial ties between Kyiv and its European partners.
