Wildberries warehouses hit by Ukrainian drone and cyberattacks

Ukraine has launched a sustained campaign targeting the logistics infrastructure of Wildberries, Russia’s largest e-commerce retailer. Since mid-July 2026, approximately 20 Wildberries facilities have been struck by Ukrainian drones, including seven of the company's ten largest logistics hubs. A major strike on a 250,000-square-meter warehouse in Koledino, near Moscow, resulted in a massive fire and significant property damage.

Ukraine justifies these strikes by alleging that Wildberries supports the Russian military by supplying drone components and other equipment. To amplify the impact of physical drone strikes, Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) also conducted a cyberattack against the company, disrupting customer service, contact centers, and payment systems.

The economic consequences are substantial. Estimates suggest Wildberries has lost roughly 1.2 million square meters of warehouse space and approximately 480 billion rubles in goods. The disruption threatens hundreds of thousands of small businesses that rely on the platform and places pressure on the Russian financial system, specifically VTB Bank, which serves as a major financial guarantor for the retailer and a key lender to the Russian defense industry.
