Ukraine to pilot drone deliveries for transplant organs

Ukraine's Ministry of Health has announced an experimental program to deliver organs for transplantation using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). The initiative aims to reduce delivery times for organs that can only remain viable for a few hours.

The Ministry's Cardiology Institute possesses three specialized drones capable of covering distances of up to 700 kilometers. This medical application follows the country's extensive use of drone technology and robotics for military logistics and the evacuation of wounded soldiers from combat zones.
