Ukraine's Sybiha briefs India's Jaishankar on Black Sea tensions

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a phone call with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to discuss the “difficult situation” in the Black Sea. Sybiha reported that intensified Russian strikes on Ukrainian ports and maritime routes are disrupting the region.

Sybiha emphasized that Russian attempts to interfere with Ukrainian food exports pose a direct threat to global food security, potentially affecting millions of families worldwide. The two ministers discussed potential measures to restore and secure freedom of navigation in the Black Sea. Additionally, the conversation addressed the development of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and India and ways to advance their mutually beneficial agenda.
