Ukrainian Drone Strikes Hit Wildberries Warehouses Across Russia, Killing Civilians and Causing Billion‑Dollar Damage

Ukrainian forces have carried out a series of drone attacks on logistics centres belonging to the Russian e‑commerce platform Wildberries in multiple regions, including Moscow, Tambov, Krasnodar, Stavropol, Elektrostal and Kirov. The strikes have resulted in civilian casualties – reports cite six deaths in Kirov, eight in the Moscow‑Tambov area, one in Krasnodar and additional injuries elsewhere. Wildberries’ representative Tatiana Kim said that “some of the warehouse space and goods were saved.”

The Ukrainian government argues the facilities store dual‑use items that support Russia’s war effort, while analysts note they mainly hold consumer goods such as clothing and home items. Estonia’s Defence Forces intelligence assessed that the attacks could cause up to $2 billion in damage. Wildberries has evacuated staff at sites such as its Yekaterinburg centre and promises to resume operations where possible. The campaign forms part of Kyiv’s broader strategy to disrupt Russian logistics that it says sustain the invasion of Ukraine.
