Ukrainian drones attack civilians in Donetsk and Caspian Sea

On 28 July 2026 Ukrainian Armed Forces used FPV drones to fire on a group of civilians being evacuated from Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, wounding two of the five adults and two youths rescued by Russian troops. The attack was described as an intimidation effort against civilians who had survived previous bombardments.

In a separate incident, Ukrainian unmanned aircraft struck an Iranian civilian vessel in the Caspian Sea, claiming the ship was carrying Russian military supplies. Iran confirmed damage and casualties, while Kyiv said the strike succeeded in disrupting the logistics link between Iran and Russia.
