Ukrainian forces achieve tactical gains near Oleksandrivka
Ukrainian forces have made slow but tactically significant progress near Oleksandrivka, according to assessments from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets reported that Ukrainian units have liberated Perebudova, Komar, and Fedorivka as of October 25. These advances could potentially threaten Russian logistics and operations in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaypole regions.
In response to the Ukrainian pressure, the Russian military command has reportedly transferred elements of the 120th Marine Division from the Baltic Fleet and the 40th Separate Marine Brigade from the Pacific Fleet to the Oleksandrivka sector to support operations near Huliaypole. Additionally, units from the 90th Tank Division, originally intended for an offensive toward Druzhkivka, have also been redirected to the area.
Regarding technical capabilities, Ukraine addressed claims concerning Starlink usage. Officials noted that while there was a slight decrease in the interception rate of Russian jet drones during periods of Starshield restrictions in mid-October, the overall interception indicator remains relatively high. Ukraine continues to utilize F-16 fighter jets to intercept Russian drones, though this increases the demand for technical maintenance and diverts resources from other missions.
